Some Confessions

1. I woke up yesterday and it was 54 degrees. I AM SO HAPPY. GIVE ME THE COLD.

2. I am behind on blogs again. I have no idea how this happens so quickly but man the time flies by and suddenly I am like 100 blogs behind. #guesswhatIwillbedoingthisweekend

3. My parents bought me a dishwasher. Seriously. Mine hasn't worked at the rental we live at for nearly two years and my landlord gives no fucks whatsoever. So as a present to me they bought it and installed it yesterday and I am SO HAPPY. #nomorehandwashing

4. I keep seeing all these posts on 17 things to do before 2017 and I thought I would join in but honestly....I cannot think of 17 things! Now the things that I have on my list are big things to me and they will take up huge chunks of time so that might be why I can't think of 17 things.

5. I love Snapchat but if your whole snap is done in the Bee or Deer filter I am going to skip it. Seriously I cannot stand the voice changer.

6. I received a new makeup palette for review but it is so pretty that I don't want to mess it up! I need to get on the ball and do a makeup look with it though because it is just so lovely that I am missing out by being hung up on my perfectionist nonsense.

7. I may have threatened my computer with several death threats while trying to upload some songs to my phone. It was moving so slow and it is just miserable to wait twenty minutes for four songs to download.

8. I ran into an old friend from High School the other day and she just ran up and gave me the biggest hug. It just warmed my heart and made my whole day so much better.

9 During a cleaning spree I found a bunch of scratch off tickets that were winners. I cashed those babies in! Hello $18!

10. I lost my favorite hair clip and now I am completely out of sorts. Does this happen to anyone else? Seriously I am so thrown off by it!

Tag it Tuesday: Who's That Guy?

Today I am stealing borrowing a post from Erin! This post has been in the archives for a while now and it just felt like time to post it!  So today I'm going to share with you all a little about my husband aka Bobby aka Robert aka

So without further ado....here you go:

Socks with sandals: yes or no?
Only if you're hiding a foot fungus

Where is your dream vacation?
The Orient

Which of the Seven Dwarfs do you most identify with?
Right now it is a combo of Grumpy and Sneezey (He has a head cold)

Which Disney princess do you think is the hottest?
Belle

What are five of your favorite movies?
Jurassic Park, Back to the Future, Princess Bride, Goonies, Ghostbusters

If you could drive any exotic car, what would it be?
The Ecto-One

If you were to pack up and move somewhere new without worrying about work or finances, where would you go?
Caribbean

If you were to start a blog, what would you write about?
Nerd Stuff

What item on your bucket list do you most look forward to crossing off?
Light a match with a .22 bullet

If you could be a member of any band, what would you play and who would you join?

What do you remember about our first date?
Him: Everything
Me: Not an answer
Him: The light coming on on your front porch (aka time for me to go inside)

What has been the most memorable thing we’ve done together?
Had Kyra
What is your favorite thing about me?
You make me laugh

What is one thing you want people to know about you?
I'm Awesome.

The answers seem pretty simple but this took a pretty long time for him to answer because he has a hard time deciding on things like favorite movies and places to go....also he usually cracks up because he thought of something hilariously inappropriate first before giving me a direct answer!

Hey It's Okay....

To utterly neglect housework in favor of reading.

To actually do housework while engrossed in audio books and basically be in a whole other world.

To sit on the un-vacuumed floor and color in a color book with your daughter when she asks if you will play with her.

To already start planning Halloween decor and costumes.

To extra pamper your dogs as an apology for the new puppy.

To have pretty much only taken photos of the new puppy for the past week....

She now has one ear that sticks up! It's hilarious.

To take a blogging break just because you need one.

To want to come back to blogging and then drawing a massive blank as to where to begin...so you write some fluff.

It's totally okay.

Weekend Recap 4/18

It's Monday again and it is rainy and feels like a good day for reading and snuggling up...and of course blogging.

Also saw this on my Pinterest today and it just made me happy.

Monday Plans:

Now the weekend recap:

Friday: Amanda came in to spend the weekend and there was a little bit of drinking, lots of laughing, and some much needed girl talk time. I feel so much better just getting to talk out the "adult" girl things and spend time with one of my favorite people in the world. Also Wine in a cup.

Saturday: Major vegging out took place. Normally we are all GO GO GO during the weekends the friends come in but this weekend we were just content to watch movies and talk and just be chill. Honestly I think we just needed to hang out and chill and that was perfectly fine. Although as you can see above there was still some really silly moments...aka....the owls.

Sunday: We finally got going and went out to get some local eats and some really awesome lavender lemonade downtown and then came back and gamed for a bit before Amanda had to head home. She had to head home a little early because today (Monday) is her first day of her new job! I am so proud of her and excited for her new venture in life!

After Amanda left we gamed for a little longer with my little brother and then it was time to call it an early night with a soothing face mask and lights out by 10pm!

So that was our chill weekend and while I totally enjoyed relaxing I am really excited for the next time when Amanda comes in it will be Planet Comicon weekend!

Hope you all had a great weekend and Happy Monday!

Some Thanksgiving-ish Confessions

I confess that I am writing this one a day early because I plan on baking the entire day this Wednesday in prep for the holiday.

I confess I don't like gravy. At all. Ick.

I confess that my mom makes the BEST homemade rolls. Seriously I could fill up on just those alone.

My Mother in Law asked my husband what he would like for snacks before her dinner. He said he wanted a "snack ham" aka a whole spiral ham to snack on before turkey. I confess he was only half kidding. (He's in this meal for the meat.)

I confess that my favorite part of Thanksgiving is walking into my mom's house. The smells are amazing. The table is always set up so nicely. My brothers are there joking and being ridiculous. It makes the whole house feel warm and wonderful.

That's all for me today. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Be sure to join the linkups with you own confessions!

Throwback Thursday: I look the same...

Morning Everyone,

Today I thought it would be fun to share some Throwback Thursday photos.

Baby Kimmy

Such a cute little poser. I loved being in front of the camera when I was little.

I was a big fan of bows. I remember having a whole bunch of them that I would sort through and pick which one that I wanted for the day. My mom always made sure it matched my outfit and she even made a lot of them.

Yep I look the same. Even though this was fourth grade. I had a hat that matched that vest FYI. It was a throwback to Blossom....remember that show? Yeah it was black with a massive sunflower on it. Also I hated my glasses and cried for hours when I found out I would need them. I still hate wearing my glasses and only wear them when I feel like death.
Senior Year. Yep Still look the same. Yep my hair is the same. Don't care I like it this way! I actually felt really pretty when this one was taken. Senior Year was pretty awesome.

Hope you all enjoyed! If you feel like sharing your throwback photos let me know in the comments!

Happy Thursday!

Thursday Thoughts: Remember Remember

1. It's the fifth of November.

2. Eeyore is still my favorite Winnie-The-Pooh character.

3. Dr. Suess was a genius. His books are still amazing.

4.Daylight Savings does not apply to parents.

5. Paying $6 for BRAND NEW jeans at the thrift store is my jam.

6.After finding the above GIF I remembered that I have two unused Victoria's Secret cards and I need to use them. They are about two years old. I know I know, but they don't carry my size bra in store (except in nasty brown/beige BS) and shipping fees SUCK. Ugh I'll just go buy some new underwear I guess.

7. I gave myself permission to work on just whatever random story popped into my head for NaNoWriMO instead of worrying about working on the one I've been working on forever. I am so glad I did this because writing has been going very well and I feel like I'm getting the feel for things again.

8. I wanna put my tree up.
9. If you wanna tell me about how there should be no Christmas stuff up yet because Thanksgiving I will kindly tell you to take that nonsense somewhere else. I'm a Christmas baby so therefore it is Christmas all the time in my heart.

10. Super proud of my city. 800,000 people were there to celebrate the Royals win and there was no rioting or massive destruction of property. Stay Classy KC.

Happy Thursday Everyone.

No Thanks, I'm Good

Good Morning Everyone,

I'm feeling a list coming on...

1. Go Camping- Why do you want me to go and live like I don't have a home? I have a home. It has indoor plumbing and a comfy bed. Also Netflix and a fridge.

2. Watch Baseball-  I think it is boring and lasts entirely too long. Call me UN-American if you will.

3. Go Skydiving- Nope. Never. Nope.

4. Drink Green Juice/ Juice Cleanse- It looks disgusting. I know it tastes disgusting because you still make a face even while telling me it is SO good for you. You drink it if you like, but I'll pass.

5. Drink Red Bull- Straight or as a mixer it still tastes like battery acid. Yuck.

6. Get a Septum Piercing- Or faux piercing as is apparently popular all over Instagram and in magazines. Sorry but it looks like you are an animal going to slaughter. You do you, but I'll have to pass.

7. Wear Skinny Jeans- Ridiculous on guys IMO. Not for me, yes I will wear leggings but I have all the important things covered thanks. Skinny jeans just sound like a prison for my legs.

8. Watch Real Housewives of Anything- I'm sorry but these shows give me anxiety with all the drama and yelling. I'll just go read and yell and cry over a book instead.

9.  Go Running for any period of time- I've never gotten the "runner's high". I will walk for days but running...it just involves to many logistics in the clothing department.

10. Go Vegan/Vegetarian- yeah...no. Bacon is tasty. #Sorrynotsorry

What are your "No Thanks, I'm Good" things? Let me know in the comments below!

Tuesday Tunes: My High School Playlist

Good Morning Everyone,

So I was cleaning out the basement yesterday (2015 is the year of the purge. I have gotten rid of so much stuff!) and happened upon my MASSIVE CD case. This was way back when CDs were cool and MP3s were not even really heard of yet.

Anyhow I took a browse through my case only to come across this gem:

I had no idea what was on this disc but apparently they were my Jamz (oh that z....) and I thought...hey wouldn't it be fun to show the entire world how ridiculous my taste in music was in high school? Thus this post was born.

Now I popped this thing into my computer and fired it up. I knew it was going to be good because of course Grace Note couldn't find the names of the songs. So I had to identify them myself as I listened along. Awesome.

Here's the playlist (don't judge!)

1. Birthday- 50 cent
2. I Do- Toya
3.Young'n- Fabolous
4.The Whole World- Outkast
5.Gossip - Missy Elliot
6.Work It- Missy Elliot
7.Separated- Offspring
8.Fly for a White Guy- Offspring
9. Perfect Day- Offspring
10. Original Prankster- Offspring
11. She Hates Me- Puddle of Mud
12. Skillz- All For One
13. Feuer Frei- Rammstein
14. Let the Bodies Hit the Floor-Drowning Pool
15. I will be heard- Hatebreed

I can feel your judgement.

It's okay. I was a weird kid and had strange taste in music, but basically I just liked about any genre as long as it sparked something. A lot of these songs were to get me going for a cheer-leading event or to help me write story scenes. I admit freely that some of them are ridiculous and yes I shook my head more than a few times in absolute shame for my younger self, but hey it is what it is!

Still have any of your old mixes from high school? Would our musical tastes have been at all similar? Let me know in the comments!

Confession Day- More Rambles

Good Morning Everyone,

It's Time for Confession!

I have been working like a crazy person to make sure that my house is clean for the upcoming birthday party on Saturday. I'm exhausted and now at the point of "It's good enough" I'm Done.

I totally stubbed my toe the other day and it hurt like hell. Come to find out that I actually cracked the toenail about 3/4 of the way down. It's split all the way to the middle but not across. So I've had to do a patch job to keep it on until it goes out. #yuck #ow

I have been saying this to myself every morning lately because these past few weeks have been crap and I've been feeling awful. Amazingly enough it is helping.

I know that I need a new makeup pallet like I need a hole in the head but seriously I'm in love with smokey blues and I WANT this new one coming out from Urban Decay!

I'm thinking about getting a gel manicure but at the same time I don't want to worry about soaking them off in two weeks. I do not have the time to even get the manicure much less worry about taking it off later on. #busymom #Illjustdothemmyself

Happy Hump Day Everyone! Hope your week is going well and don't forget to join the linkup!

Confessions: Childhood Edition

Good Morning Everyone,

It's Wednesday Confession Day and today I am doing a special Childhood Edition!

We all do crazy things as kids today I'm gonna share with all of you a few of the things that I did!

I confess that at one point as a child I was convinced that when I turned 16 I would magically turn into a horse or unicorn. I have no idea why I thought this but I was certain of it.

I confess my belief was only further encouraged when my mom bought Mane and Tail shampoo. She just bought it because it was supposed to be good for your hair. I was convinced it was because she could turn into a horse but couldn't tell me until I was old enough.

I confess that I used to tape Saturday Morning Cartoons every Saturday. I would tape from 6am to 12pm. Including commercials because you couldn't skip those in olden times. I memorized them all. Even the commercials. I still know them word for word.

I confess that my best friend and I were obsessed with a tape that was called Dinosaurs. It starred Fred Savage as a very young man and it was hilarious and ridiculous. We used to fight over who was the pink dinosaur. We were so cool.

This is the movie...ah Clay-mation....

I confess that I ended every song with the words "All Day". Sung of course. I still do this with childhood songs. I can't help it.

My cousins and I used to play a game called "Crocodile Soup" which is basically the game "The floor is Lava" but with Crocodiles and you had to make it across the swingset without touching the ground. It was awesome.

So there are a few of my childhood confessions. Were you as weird a kid as I was? Let me know in the comments! Also be sure to join the linkup!
