Friday Favorites: Childhood Edition

Good Morning Everyone,

Anyhow that post was so much fun that I thought I would go ahead and share my Childhood Favorites with you as well! 

Here we go: 

Favorite Toys: 

My Little Pony

I have over 800 of these. Not kidding. This particular one still smells like strawberries!

Smooshees

The whole point was to stuff them into their little houses. Odd but fun.

 

Lil Miss Dolls

There was a whole line of these...makeup, hair, etc. I knew my makeup obsessions started young...These were the only "baby" dolls I really liked. I was more into stuffed animals and things.

Popples

Mine is actually Green and Orange but yeah these were awesome.

Little Tykes Toy Castle

We had one of these in our living room for YEARS. So many sleepovers we spent inside the castle...That thing was AWESOME.

Favorite TV shows: 

Classic Bugs Bunny

This is one of my most favorite episodes. Abracadabra!

Dinosaucers

Dinosaurs....From Outer Space....Seriously.

She-Ra

Princess of Power. I wanted to be her when I grew up.

Care Bears

It's the Care Bear Countdown...5, 4,3,2,1!

This movie was AMAZING. Where did it disappear to?

Garfield's 9 Lives

 

This one was awesome...one of the stories still makes me cry.

Last Unicorn 

Still one of my Favorites but I'm amazed that I understood it since it is a pretty mature film really...ah well UNICORNS!

Rainbow Brite and the Star Stealer

Flight of Dragons 

Another more mature one, but DRAGONS.

Confessions of an 80s/90s Kid

Good Morning Everyone,

Today I thought I would share with you the confessions of my childhood. Basically I was the most awesome totally rad kid ever. This post is brought on by a treasure I found at Target last week....

I confess....

I totally helped support that Lisa Frank franchise....ALL OF THE THINGS were Lisa Frank....

I owned the lesser know but still popular Nano pet as opposed to the Tamogotchi....

I remember when McDonald's gave away awesome toys.....and birthday parties there were the height of sophistication....

I owned and still own these items....whole collections of them in fact....

I own over 800 of these actually....

I own so many of these....boxes of them.

I did in fact have blow up furniture....this blue chair actually.

This was my first perfume...and I still love the smell actually.

And finally....I beat Mario Bros on the original Nintendo....on a day that I played hooky from school with my Dad....He beat it as well...and also the very difficult Little Mermaid game. It was one of the Best. Days. Ever.

Throwback Thursday

Good Morning Everyone!


So I was really lost on what to post today. I wanted to do a "Thrifty Thursday" and post my thrift store haul from yesterday but honestly the thought of messing about with my camera and trying to get a place in my house with lighting and a good background....ugh too much work for this Thursday morning and it has already been a full morning!

But lucky for me, my friend posted a Throwback Thursday picture on Facebook this morning and I thought "Hey! I haven't done one of those in a while!" and low and behold my post for today!

Feast your eyes on the rockin' 80's awesomeness.....

This is me (in the rocking chair, rocking the mouse ears) and my best friend from childhood that we shall refer to as Miss J.

Point of fact I still own that rocking chair, it is being fixed up for my daughter's room.

Also still own the mouse ears.

Also the Popples Pajamas that Miss J is rocking in this one.

Anyone else remember Popples? Or is everyone in blog land a baby now from the 90s?

I think I still have my original Popple....he was green with like an orange mohawk.....ah the 80s......

Sidenote- Miss J is also the reason that I got into Zumba. She and I attend every Tuesday and Thursday night! She knew I would love it because we were famous (infamous?) for our dance off parties!
