Good Morning Everyone,

Today I am joining the "Show Us Your Books" linkup!

Here's what I've been reading lately:

Okay I finally broke down and read this book. I mean it was like THE book to read last year. Everyone was talking about it and of course all the media hype with the movie coming out but I gotta be honest....I didn't like it.....like didn't like it AT ALL. I mean I get that the "twist" was pretty out of the blue and the ending was not what I expected but I didn't like ANY of the characters. Half way through I just kind of stopped caring. I didn't care why she was gone, if he had something to do with it, nothing. I just felt unmoved by the whole story. By the end I was just glad it was over and sad I wasted my time on it. Apologies to anyone that loved it but just not my taste at all.

This one is on the Currently Reading list. I am only a little way into it but so far I am really enjoying it! This is more my taste of book however so that might be it. I love supernatural/paranormal type books and this looks like it is going to be a series I am going to enjoy! 

 

I have actually read this series multiple times but I started it up again! I finished the first in the series in just an evening and honestly I had forgotten who had done it! I adore cozy mysteries. They are just a lot of fun to read and great for when you don't have the time allotted for more "crunchy" books. Hilarious and silly and never fails to make me laugh! 

This is the latest (for me) in the Dresden Series. My husband has read all of these and finally a few months ago I started them up. I have to say I don't know why I put it off for so long as this is pretty much my favorite genre of supernatural/magic/paranormal. Besides I love reading about another wizard named Harry!


So that's what I've been reading! I have a HUGE stack next to my nightstand of "To Be Read" so I cannot wait for next month when I get to share more with you!

Confessions 8/6

Good Morning Everyone!

Today is Confession Day and I will get to the funny stuff in a moment, but first....

Apologies for no post the past two days. Monday I was hobbling around with a pulled muscle in my hip and trying to clean my house so that people could come look at a puppy. They didn't show because the wife went into labor. Legit reason! Anyhow I was so exhausted from hobbling and feeling like crap that I just didn't get to the computer to post.

Tuesday....ugh Tuesday was awful. I was woken up by my phone going off and when I answered it was my Dad. My brother got into a car accident. The lady rear ended his car and totaled it, but Thank all the powers that be, my brother was okay.  Anyhow my Dad was at work in the city and wanted me to go and get my brother from the scene. It was only a couple miles away from my house so getting ready at the speed of light, the baby and I were there to get him within less that 15 minutes. The rest of the day was spent getting Bear (my brother's nickname) checked out at the ER. He injured his Trapezius and messed up some nerves in his neck, but other than that checked out okay. Mom and I picked up his meds and took him home and took care of him the rest of the day. I am so thankful that everything turned out okay because honestly it could have been a much worse situation.

So there you have it, Why I was MIA the past two days!

Now let's move on to lighter things and Get with the Confessions!!!

...I confess that on Monday after cleaning I put on "What to Expect When You Are Expecting" the movie and balled my eyes out when the babies were being born. Kyra was asleep in my arms and I was sobbing like a big goober remembering the day she was born. Full on Ugly Cry kids.

...I confess that although we have given four puppies away and only have five left I feel like I am going to die each time. Seriously I cannot handle this giving the pups away business. I am too mushy inside.

...I confess that SWAMP PEOPLE is my guilty pleasure show. Some of you do Real Housewives or the Bachelor....but not this girl. I have no idea what the obsession is but I LOVE that show.

...I confess that I binge watched Season 4 of SWAMP PEOPLE on Amazon Prime over the weekend when I saw that it had become available. #NoShame

 

....I confess that I stayed up reading the other night until 1am. I was reading the first Ever After High book. I really am ridiculous.

...I confess that I shave my legs every other day. Seriously I will get out of bed at 2am to shave if I feel any prickly bits.

 ... I confess that clean sheets and shaved legs are the bomb.com

The Day of Confessions has arrived!

Good Morning Everyone!

It's good to be back and blogging again and what better way to get back into the swing of things than with a Confession Day Post!

...I confess that after reading approx. twenty blogs in my backed up Bloglovin list I straight up marked them all as read and moved on. It was WAY too stressful to even think about going through and trying to comment on things that happened about four days ago. Sorry not sorry.

...I confess that even though I'm trying to eat healthy and do well, I still made chocolate chip zucchini bread. I ate three slices. Again sorry not sorry.

 

... I confess that I started watching Supernatural from the beginning again. Seriously I just love that show...but you all knew that right?

... I confess that I got super nerdy girl excited when the new Hobbit Teaser trailer came out. I CANNOT wait!

... I confess I got a little bummed but totally LOVED seeing all the Instagram photos from San Diego Comic Con this past week. SO many great cosplays and so many AMAZING artists! Some day I will go!

...I confess that teething is pretty much the worst part of life. My poor baby is just miserable lately with three new teeth coming in....not to mention it tends to just upset her poor little belly which means diaper rash which means...ugh it means that unless it is nap time or bed time pretty much no one is relaxed in this house.

...I confess that I cried a little when the first puppy was taken by his new family. Even though it was my neighbors....as in they live right next door. Like....the other side of the duplex next door. I'm such a baby. He is super happy though and his name is now Harley.

....I confess that I am really nervous/excited about my upcoming 5K! It's going to be awesome but I am just praying for an 80 degree day and not a 100 degree one! I will just have to keep this in mind at all times!

Confession Day is upon us!

Good Morning Everyone! 

It's Wednesday! 

Here are my confessions this week:


...I bite my nails. ALL. THE. TIME. The only time I don't is when I get them done professionally but man the minute that they chip or I break one....I am nibbling away. Part of it is stress and part of it is the obsessive need for them to feel smooth. Once again confirming my crazy. 

...I confess that yesterday after giving nine puppies a bath and cleaning out the kennel I was feeling all sorts of crumbly and nearly cried when my parents offered to take Kyra for a bit. You would think I would use the time wisely and do all the things that you don't get to do with a kiddo around but actually all I did was make some dinner and then say I was going to dry my hair when actually I fell asleep on my bed. It was too hot to do my hair anyway! 

...I confess that I HATE SUMMER. Seriously. I hate it. I LOATHE it. I hate summer clothes, I hate the bugs, but most of all I hate the heat. It was 100 degrees here yesterday and with the humidity it felt more like a million. Seriously I broke a sweat standing outside waiting for the dog to finish her business so we could go back in. I wasn't even walking! The heat sucks. Please bring back the snow so I can put on my sweater and leggings and not feel like my face is going to melt off! 

..I confess I've been really bad about blog reading this week. Also comments. I just haven't been able to get up the go to sit and read them. Part of it is because Kyra is now very mobile and into EVERYTHING, so I can't really take the time to log on and check things. But part of it is just...I am dreading opening my BlogLovin' or email. I know it is backed up and I know to be a good blogger I need to respond, but I just haven't felt it lately. Hopefully I get back in the groove soon. I feel like my BlogLovin' is just sitting there like....

...I confess that I will never tire of some books. Honestly I don't care if I have read it a million times or if I have a pile of books I have never read sitting next to me. If one of the old one is calling my name I will reread it. I can't help myself. 

...I confess that lately Netflix, Hulu, and Amazon Prime have felt more like a chore than entertainment. The thought of surfing through trying to find something to watch is exhausting. I have worn out all my series and the summer TV schedule bites. I'm bored with it all. I am now at the point that I just let my husband have the remote and tune out whatever rubbish he puts on. 

...I confess that as of late my blog posts have been getting written in the dark, on the floor, next to the bed while the baby sleeps. Either I have had no time to write during the day or I have had no inspiration for what to post. However you can ask any writer and they will tell you, your best ideas come right at bedtime the moment you find the most comfortable spot to sleep! 

That is all for me today! Hoping that it is less hot out and maybe I can get some other things done without turning into a sweaty puddle! Cheers to everyone and Happy Hump Day!

Good Evening Everyone!

Apologies for the late post today but I was SUPER busy this morning re doing my kitchen organization and then spent the afternoon with my Mom and Kyra! 

However I am getting a post up today and I am linking up with Juliette from over at The Other Juliette! 

Today's prompt is Things that make you Happy. 

So here is what makes me happy: 

This little girl. She is my WORLD. Seriously could not ask for a sweeter cuter baby. 

My husband, of course. 

My family, they are my rock. Without them I could never have become the person that I am. 

 Pinterest. Seriously when they invented this I found my new way to pass time. Honestly my doctor visits while I was pregnant were made so much more enjoyable with Pinterest! 

 

Books. 

 

Movies.

 THIS PLACE. (the view from the pavilion at my parents' place. Same spot I got married.) 

Supernatural. Sherlock. Harry Potter. Cosplay.

Baking.

Wednesday Confessions 7/2

Good Morning Everyone,

Today is Wednesday and you know what that means!!!

...PMS is the worst thing for dieting. Seriously all last week I was thinking like this....

...I cannot stand people who when we are having a conversation will just straight up answer their phone without warning and hold up their finger like "just a sec" I guarantee this is what is going on in my brain...

...My long hair gets seriously EVERYWHERE. It is so annoying when I can feel one trapped on the bra line. My husband is always complaining that they get into his socks. He's like....

...I confess that this is still one of the best insults of all time...and yes I use it...

...I confess that every time Kyra starts taking steps my husband and I look just like this...So EXCITE.

...I confess that I would live at Barnes and Noble if they let me. Books? Check. Coffee? Check. Access to baked goods? Check. Really Barnes and Noble is like...my dream home. Aside from Hogwarts. Or the Beauty and the Beast library....

...I confess that I was pretty darn proud of my little family this weekend. We unfortunately had a funeral to attend but we looked good despite the fact that it was hotter than Satan's bum outside.

...I confess I am about to do a little shameless plugging for my blog/vlog....New Favorites Video is up
