First Confessions of the New Year

1. Books have been on point this month! Seriously I have powered through five books this month and four of the five have been amazing. I am so happy that I am ahead on reading because last year I felt like I kept putting reading off for other (non important) things and this year I am trying to make sure that I am reading and taking time for myself to just sit quietly. 

2. I have a cart full of stuff from Sephora. I have not purchased any of it yet but I come back daily and look at my cart and just kind of wistfully sigh. I do have a gift card but I am terrified that I will end up buying something and then something EVEN BETTER will come out and I will miss out....which is ridiculous. I am ridiculous. 

3. I also really want this whole collection from Sinful Colors. I adore Kandee Johnson.

4. I have been looking into forms of passive income to help out. It is just so overwhelming. I honestly go between suggestions that are possibly doable to the same run of the mill junk. I just want to find a way of making a small amount per month so that I can start putting money away for savings and the occasional splurge. This blog makes me 0 dollars a month. I'm not a "popular" blogger and honestly that is okay but I do wish I could be a "successful" blogger who makes this a full time job. The issue I have found however is that each time I look into the blogs that make money it is always the same generic nonsense that I don't even read. I actually read one blog that was like "You aren't going to make money if you just talk about your dog and your kids. People want to know how to lose weight, where to shop, blah blah..." and I cringed. I just can't seem to get behind that at all. My blog is my favorite place to share with you all...

5. I have also been feeling a little lost in life. I want creativity and I feel like I have a lot of good ideas but I have TOO MANY ideas. Does that make sense? I was making a list of things I love and I see potential but I am overwhelmed and have no idea where to take things. I just know that I am happiest when I am creating something that will eventually go on to someone else. However my artistic skills are limited at the moment and while I can knit I would still consider myself a novice in this area. I am not sure what I am trying to get out of this confession but I just know that I am lost.

My Beauty Wishlist Summer 2015

Good Morning Everyone, 

It's no secret around here that I'm a tad makeup...obsessed? 

Yes I know I have a problem. #sorrynotsorry

Today I'm going to share with you my current Beauty Wishlist! (Also known as the items I would buy the minute I hit the lotto because of course they are on the pricey side. womp womp.) 

There are some AWESOME products that have just recently been released or are about to be released and I have a MIGHTY NEED. 

1. Anastasia Beverly Hills Highlighters-  I will admit that I love a good highlight. Seriously they are wonderful for when I'm not feeling a full face of makeup but want to look like I tried at least a little. These look amazing!

2. Colourpop Lippie Stix- I want to order from Colourpop SO BADLY. They are actually a really great price for some truly gorgeous colors! I love this whole set and am really excited about the new all matte colors that are coming out next soon!

3. Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadows- Makeup Geek is another brand that I want to order from like as soon as possible. Every time I see these shadows on Instagram I fall more in love with them. So much pigment!

4. Morphe Brush Set- Brushes are super important to makeup application IMO and these Morphe sets are so gorgeous and have some really great reviews. I'd love this beautiful purple set!

5. Dose of Colors Berry Me 2- Honestly I would take just about any color from Dose of Colors but once they released Berry Me 2....I need this in my life!!

6. Urban Decay Smokey Palette- When this palette was announced I was so excited. I love a good smokey eye and Urban Decay has yet to let me down with their palettes (I own like five of them...) and this is just another one for the collection!

7. Urban Decay F-Bomb-Yes I have an obsession with lip products. Yes I need this gorgeous bombshell red. Little known fact...I'm obsessed with pin up girl looks and this red looks perfect for that style!

8. Geek Chic Witchcraft and Wizardy Set- It is no secret that I love Harry Potter. It is also no secret that I am a huge nerd. Also a makeup addict...so yeah geeky makeup? Harry Potter themed? NEED IT.

9. Geek Chic Awesome Mix Set- Guardians of the Galaxy Nerdy Makeup goodness. Again...I need this.

10. Anastasia Beverly Hills Liquid Lipstick in Craft- Okay so I have been wanting to jump on the Liquid Lipstick train for a while now but these are really pricey at $20 bucks a pop...however I REALLY REALLY want this color. It is just so gorgeous and it will be the perfect color for fall!

Friday Favorites: Birthday/Christmas Wishlist Edition

Good Morning Everyone,

Happy Friday!!! Today we are doing our Friday Favorites! 

Today's Favorites are brought to you via my Birthday/Christmas wishlist! It's a random assortment of things on the list that I thought might inspire others if they are looking for gifts or if you are just having trouble coming up with things for your own list!

1.  Bellami Hair Wand-This particular hair wand has 6 different attachments for different types of curls. It is one of the "big" names on YouTube. Super Expensive but hey it's a Wishlist! 

2. Snowflake Rings- I found these pretty things via Pinterest and have yet to find them elsewhere...however I fell in love with the idea of snowflake rings in general. If I see one anywhere I am buying it! 

3. Panda Mugs- How cute are these?! I love Pandas and I do not have a single panda mug! 

4. Glam Glow Set- I have been wanting to try Glam Glow for what seems like forever but it is again a super pricey item. This particular set lets you try three of the four kinds for the price of one! 

5. Urban Decay Vice 3 Pallet-Urban Decay can just do no wrong when it comes to eyeshadow. I need the Vice 3 pallet in my life...just look at those colors!

6. Harry Potter iPhone Case- So I still don't have an iPhone case...I'm a super Harry Potter fan....I think this case needs to be in my life! 

7. Knitting Stuff- I have fallen in love with knitting. I will take ANYTHING knitting related. Bring me all the yarn! 

8. Real Techniques Brushes-  I have a few of these brushes and let me tell you they were game changers. Really great price for high quality brushes and can be found at Ulta, Kohls, and Walmart!

9. Barnes and Nobel Gift Card- Books are life. I know not everyone likes gift cards but I ADORE Barnes and Nobel ones! It helps feed my literature addiction. 

10. Fit Bit Flex- I have heard great things about this little gadget and as I continue on my journey toward fit I think it might be a cool gift to help me along!

Confession Day: Beauty, Bugs, and Blisters

Good Morning Everyone,

It is Wednesday!!

And you know what that means! Happy Hump Day/ Confession Day!


I confess that I have a problem when it comes to lusting after makeup/ beauty products. Most specifically these things: (In Order: GlamGlow face Mask, Urban Decay Electric Pallet, Fitbit Flex, and Too Faced Melted Lipsticks)

 

  

Obviously I cannot buy all of the things because I am a grown up and realize that my money has to go to more important things like food and bills, you know the boring junk. However if I win the lotto....

I confess that there are no less than 5 light bulbs burnt out in my house...

I confess that when I am feeling lazy but still need to vacuum my couch I just put the whole vacuum on the couch and run it across. Yup lazy.

I confess that I totally stole my mom's area rug when she decided that she was going to get new ones. Gotta love Freebies.

I confess that I had a major freak out when I discovered THE BIGGEST BEETLE EVER on my shirt. I had to get my husband involved. I had the creepy crawlies for the rest of the night. ADDITIONAL FREAKOUT- I was walking down to the basement to get the dog out of the kennel and on the stairs was a really big spider. I take my shoe off to squish it and as I do a MILLION baby spiders go EVERYWHERE! I had to have my husband get the vacuum and suck the buggers up. GROSS.

I confess that I cut my three mile walk to two miles yesterday because I was wearing the wrong socks. Hello Blisters!

Okay that is it for me! I gotta get the little one ready so we can make it to Story Time!

Thursday Things- Beauty Wishlist

Good Morning Everyone!


So today I thought I would do a post inspired by some other bloggers. I've been seeing this post randomly lately and I thought I would jump on the bandwagon!

I give you the Beauty Wishlist!


So these are things that I would love to have but basically I am a stay at home mom and my husband brings home the bacon so I try to avoid the non necessary items and stick to budget. However that does not keep me from creating a wishlist!

1. Glam Glow Moisturizing Mask

 

I have been wanting this mask forever since I saw it on Pinterest but when all the Beauty Youtube girls started buying it and then it became something of an obsession. However it is SO PRICEY. I've heard it is totally worth it but honestly it is just not in my budget. However I will continue to lust after it just the same....*sigh*

2. Mask of Magnaminty

 

 Another mask! I've heard so many amazing things about LUSH products but unfortunately the closest LUSH store to me is in Overland Park KS and that is a bit of a drive...especially with the baby. So I haven't gotten to try any of their products but I have been dreaming after this mask for awhile. I've heard it is super refreshing and I love the smell of mint! Someday I will have you!

3. Lime Crime Lipsticks

 

 Now at first this one tempted me with the packaging. PURPLE UNICORNS????!!!! I MUST HAVE! But the colors are also really beautiful! However again these are pricey and also only available online or via Urban Outfitters which again I am not close to.....still I want to own just one of these babies....I don't even care what color at the moment, all of them are pretty and I want the pretty purple unicorn lipstick!!!


4. Boudoir Eyes by Too Faced

 

 I just love the look of the colors in this pallet! So soft and romantic! Another hefty price tag for a makeup product but I've heard the quality is really amazing....so maybe it is worth it? I may never know but I can still wish!


5. Clarisonic Mia 2

 

Oh Clarisonic Mia.....I've seen these advertized. I've seen them via Youtube and all over the internet. Everyone that has one loves it.....and I wanted one. Then they released the lavender colored one....and I wanted it more. Also since I have been really into skin care lately I've just been reading all these great reviews on how it improved everyone's skin and I just WANT IT. Still it is crazy priced and I am just crossing my fingers that some day it will lose the luster and I can get it on the cheap....or somehow one will wind up at TJ Maxx by some shopping miracle! 

Okay so there is my very expensive wishlist. I realize it may seem pretty silly to some people but hey, everyone's got those little things they would totally buy....if they weren't responsible adults...ugh my feelings about being a responsible adult can be summed up by this meme....
