Hello Summer




It's time to share my Summer Goals with you all! (I totally missed the linkup last week....oops!)


Meal Plan- I am so bad with this. It is really hard to do when your husband only likes the absolute worst things for you (fried things), doesn't eat condiments or spices, and the only vegetables he will touch are the only ones I don't like (green beans). However I want to make sure that Kyra is getting the nutrition she needs and I want to do better by myself as well. So planning is going to be a big focus to make sure that everyone is getting something...without relying on fast food out of frustration!


Budget and begin to reduce debt- We have been working on getting our finances all together and being good adults. Now it is time to put things into action!


Meet my daily step count every day- I have been nailing this one so far this month and I want to keep it up all summer! I love seeing that I met or exceeded my goal each day!


Complete the 30 day Shred again- I found this DVD while searching for something else and I think it is about time I gave it a go again. I always love how I feel after completing it....even if it is a beast to get through!


Enjoy the summer with Kyra and not be worried about the things I don't get done. Not every day has to feel like a sprint to the point of exhaustion trying to get as much done as possible. It is okay to take it slow and just enjoy the moments. This past weekend was a great example of that. We had so much fun and I only took one picture. I spent more time just enjoying than worrying about capturing that enjoyment!

April 2016 Goals





1. Workout- In an effort to shake the slump and get things going I've decided that I need to get things going. Namely I need to get myself going. So I am shooting for at least 30 minutes a day but honestly even five minutes is better than nothing! 


2. Read- My reading took kind of a hit lately and I've got a huge stack of To Read books that I am more than ready to get into. 


3. Write- I need to write. Even just a paragraph a day. I need to get writing again. Whether it is actual writing or just journaling my thoughts. Writing is writing. 


4. Bedtime- I have a great night time routine for my face but getting to sleep is a whole other thing. I need to start getting into bed at a normal time.


5. Meditate- I was doing so well with this but once I hit the slump I was so not in the mood to listen to meditations and trying to do unguided ones just resulted in me worrying about things instead of relaxing. So once again I will start from the beginning at three minute intervals and move forward from there.

I try to get in my 10,000+ steps every single day. My Vivofit helps keep me on track but unfortunately in order to get those steps I actually have to...you know...walk. Now usually when working out I can  pop on an episode of Friends or watch a couple YouTube videos. Sometimes however it takes a bit more to get me going and get the job done.

Hot Mama Monday: A Confession

Good Morning Everyone and Welcome back to Hot Mama Monday!



Now I know that normally confession day is on Wednesday but....this one couldn't wait anymore. I have something to confess to you all. I may have been neglecting Hot Mama Mondays here on the blog but IRL....well that is a different story. 

I confess.....I've been killing it. 

I have been steady tracking my food for over the past month and I can tell you all here honestly that I have lost weight! I'm not going to go into the numbers of the weight loss but I will tell you that I have lost over 12.5 inches all over! THAT IS A HUGE DEAL.

My clothes are fitting better. 

I feel better. 

I for sure LOOK better, LOL! 

  So what have I been doing? Well Eating Clean mostly. Loads of chicken and fish. Piles of veggies. No sugar, no heavy starches more than three times a week. (potatoes and such, I do have a slice of diet bread about every other day though) Also I measure out my portions. Portion control has always been a real issue for me in the past, but I'm learning!

I've also been doing Zumba and just daily chores as far as workout is going. Honestly I was just trying to get my eating under control before I really started to focus on the fitness. I'm ready to start doing that now but I wanted to share with you all how drastically everything can change from simply making better food choices! 

So there it is in black and white, my confession. I wasn't really trying to hide it all but I wanted to be sure that I would stick with it and show some results this time! So I kept it secret until I felt like it was time to do some explaining! Hope you all forgive me!
