Bump Update: 30 weeks

I am 30 weeks this week! Third Trimester baby! I can't believe how fast the past couple months have gone and that baby boy will be here in 2 months! Kyra came at exactly 38 weeks so it is completely believable that this little one will be here sometime around then too! Here's what is going on this week:

Size: This week baby is the size of a platypus! I use the Ovia app to track my weeks and I love that they do random animals instead of fruit and vegetables. I always get a kick out of seeing what strange animal baby is the size of each week.

Symptoms: Lightning Crotch. If you don't know what it is it is just what it sounds like. It's like a bolt of lightning to your crotch that can double you over in a second and then it is gone. Also lots of pelvic pressure when walking because I'm carrying pretty low this time around. Also still having trouble eating even though I feel like I'm starving all the time.

Maternity Clothes: I live in leggings and maternity tops that I find randomly at Ross. They are always so much cheaper than most of the stores and when I found this Mama Bear shirt I was thrilled because the one I had seen previously was like $48 and I got mine for $7.99!

Fun Stuff: Baby Boy is moving all the time and I love feeling him kick and roll. It's just reassuring feeling him grow and move. ALSO not baby related but we got the chance to take Kyra to see Disney on Ice and it was magical and amazing and I am so glad that we got to do a big special event with just her. She was the most adorable little Belle ever!

Not so fun stuff: I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes this time around about 3 weeks ago. I have managed to keep my sugars completely under control with trying to eat more protein and cutting out things like sweet tea. It's less than fun to have to check my blood sugar levels 4 times a day but I do what I have to do because it is what is best for baby. I plan on doing a whole post on this in the future.

Cravings: I want Taco Bell all the time and mine is currently closed and undergoing construction so this is a craving that will not be filled. Why Taco Bell? Why must you do this to me?

And now a little humor:
Ah the joys of baby crushing your bladder lol

Life Update

Wow. It's been over a month since I posted on this blog. I'm not even sure how that happened but I last night I was thinking about my blog and writing and everything that has been going on and I decided that I wanted to come here and do an update. I'm not sure what that will accomplish other than to make me feel better but hey that is a good enough reason isn't it? I think so.

So basically I've kind of pulled away from social media in general lately. I haven't been blogging, I rarely Snap, I post only the occasional post on Instagram and Facebook is something that I skim and then close out of because the world is an angry scary place right now and while I'm
not burying my head in the sand I would rather not deal with it on a social media platform that in my personal opinion has had its day.

In addition to that I've also been really busy. We had our anniversary, a trip for Memorial Weekend, Kyra's 4th birthday, and then a spontaneous trip to Omaha. It's been a very full couple of weeks but they have been amazing because they have all been about spending time with my family. Not just the extended but just my little 3 person family and that is really wonderful. Not to mention Kyra also started gymnastics two weeks ago and she is loving it and it makes me so happy to see her falling so in love with something that is so good for her. She is meeting new people, learning new things, and learning to do things on her own without me and that makes me so proud I could just burst.

I also missed the book linkup this month. Not because I really "missed" it but because I was sad to say that I didn't finish 1 book in the month of May. So much was going on and while I have books I started I haven't finished anything up until this past Monday. I am still slogging through American Gods which I cannot tell if I really like or not...but I'm invested and I will finish. I am really glad that I  did finish at least one book this month though so I have something to post next month!

I have not had coffee in nearly a week. This is NOT by choice. I ran out and we've been running around and we haven't gotten to pick any up. Then Kyra got sick on Monday and has been sick and so I haven't left the house because when we did on Monday she got really sick in a store and I don't think that either of us are ready to relive that again. So yeah....no coffee. Sure I could ask my husband to pick some up on his way home from work but he has been super busy with work since they moved the whole office to another (further away) location and he is so tired by the time he gets off work I feel super guilty about asking him to stop, so I'm just sucking it up until I can get to the store.

I have been working. I wasn't going to share this here because it is just a little side job thing but honestly I really enjoy doing it and it is nice to be bringing in a little money on my own while still being able to be home with Kyra all day. However due to a computer crash last night I had a bit of a setback which I am still upset about but this is the first time since I started back in March that I've had an issue so really I've been lucky. I'm not going to bring this little job up on the blog much because as I said it is a small thing but I'm pleased with it all the same.

So basically this is my long winded way of catching up. I hope to start blogging more but I am making no promises at this time because right now I have to take each day as it comes. There is a lot more going on that I'm not going to share on the blog but just know that I am still here and I am still reading all your blogs even if I don't always comment. I am usually a week behind and by that time anything I could say will have already been said but just know I am still reading and I have a MASSIVE book list from the book linkup and hopefully I will get some time to really read them this month.

Okay I'm off, hope you all are well. Happy Wednesday.

Friday Favorites 1/8

Good Morning Everyone,

So this post is going up super late and I didn't get a post up yesterday because I have literally been EXHAUSTED. I'm not even joking. Not like "super tired" or even "super lazy" just EXHAUSTED. I literally feel like I can barely get anything done without having to sit down or rest. I also just randomly fell asleep on the couch yesterday. Like one minute I was awake and watching Kyra play and the next I was waking up without any idea of how much time had passed. Kyra was still happily playing so I'm guessing it wasn't that long but man it freaked me out.

Apparently however this is totally normal. When I was pregnant with Kyra I remember being tired but never to this extent. I'm hoping it will pass soon.

Anyhow now that you are updated let's get on with the Friday Favorites!

A Long Weekend

Good Morning Everyone!

Sorry about bein MIA yesterday but since it was my husband's and my anniversary I thought I would take the day off from blogging. Also I did not have power until like 9am and did not have internet until like 11 an by noon I was headed out the door, so....you know there was that too!

This past weekend was a busy one, Saturday we spent the day making stepping stones for Mother's Day for my mom's garden. Mine turned out pretty awesome actually and I will have a picture of it later as the only one I have is on my phone and it is pretty awful quality. However the stone turned out really great and that is awesome because it made my mom happy.

Sunday was of course Mother's day and it was my first official Mother's Day! My husband was awesome and got breakfast and then took Kyra and I out for the day. We went to outdoor mall because the day was beautiful and we showed Kyra the huge fountain that they have in the center of everything. We put her feet in the water and she thought that was just hilarious. Also she really loves being outside. I am going tot have to start incorporating more walks into our days because she really enjoys the stroller and being out in the air. Now if the weather would cooperate more then we would be all set!

Speaking of walking, my Auntie did her first 5K on Mother's Day! She is awesome. She even finished under her time goal! It's got me all pumped for when we do our 5K this August! I've never done an official one and I am really excited now!

So Monday was my anniversary. My husband and I have been married for 2 years (together for 11). Our first anniversary was not all that fun. We lost one of our best friends and his memorial service was the day before our anniversary. Also he was the one that performed our ceremony and married us the year before. It was heartbreaking...

This year we had a much better time though! My husband took a half a day at work and my parents took Kyra. So we got the whole afternoon together! We went to the Cheesecake Factory for lunch/dinner. We had never been before and it was AWESOME. The portions were so huge though, we ended up with a lot of leftovers. Oh and the cheesecake.....I had the pineapple upside down cheesecake and it was AH-MAZING. Pineapple Upside down cake is one of my favorites of all time. We even had Pineapple upside down cupcakes at our wedding reception!

After lunch/dinner we went to see the new Spider-man movie. It was okay.....just really long.

All in all it was a really nice afternoon with my husband and I hope to have many more like it!

So that was my very long (and long winded) weekend! I will be back to posting like normal now for the rest of the week. Also I will have a new video up on Youtube here in just a bit! Please check it out and hit the Thumbs Up button if you like it and if you can please Subscribe! It goes a long way to making the channel relevant and honestly.....it is helping me contribute to the household!

Big Hugs to everyone, hope you are having a great week so far!
