Currently.....April 2017

Working on: Everything pretty much. My house needs cleaning, I have a mountain of work to do. I have blog posts that need to be edited and scheduled. I have pictures that need to be uploaded and saved to files. It is just a never ending to do list around here! 

Watching: I haven't really been watching all that much TV lately but we did start watching Harlots on Hulu and I'm enjoying it so far. Also started Cosplay Melee and am really enjoying that one as well. 

Reading: I actually just got a whole stack of books that came in off my holds list but haven't started any yet. I'm looking forward to them though! 

Loving: Our season passes to the KC zoo! The weather was lovely this past weekend and we decided to pack a lunch and go spend the day. It was so relaxing because we didn't have to hurry because if we didn't get the entire thing seen in one day we would just catch it the next time! We actually did finish the whole thing but that was only because it was such a gorgeous day!

Excited About: Planet Comicon of course! It's coming up at the end of the month and I can't wait to see some awesome cosplay and meet some amazing creators!

#NotDead

Oh hi there. 

Yeah so it's been a hot minute since I've been here. Basically after we got sick, we got sick again,, and then life happened and I got busy and I had other big things happening and then suddenly boom...here it is weeks later and I haven't blogged, commented, or even read any other blogs. I finally cleared out my Bloglovin list to just the posts from the past few days and I will catch up with you all via those but if it happened a week ago I apologize but I missed it. My anxiety was spiking each time I saw my feed and so I had to do something. It's all about balance. 

Anyhow now that I am back again I thought I would share with you some images from the weekend. Nice and simple post to ease back into the swing of things. 

Here we go: 

Saturday: The weather was absolutely gorgeous and so we decided to go to the zoo. It was the perfect day, sunny and cool and not overly busy. Kyra had a great time. I love how excited she gets about all the animals!

Sunday: It was actually a pretty rainy and dreary day but Robert decided he would have a daddy/daughter day with Kyra and so my brother and I went out Pokemon hunting. Yeah we are adults who play Pokemon. #sorrynotsorry We actually had a really great time and caught some awesome ones. Loving the fact that Gen 2 is out! 

I was so excited to finally hit 25. It's hard to find Pokemon near my house since we live out in the country.

Monday has been a big catch up day for me. Two days of slacking means that there was a lot to get done today but I managed to power through and get most of my chores done before noon. It's amazing what gets done when you put on some good music and just make it happen! There is something going on with my washing machine but I am just trying to block it out for the moment. I cannot deal with that issue at the moment. 

So now I am going to try and attempt to catch up on all your blogs and possibly write a few more posts for the week. Wish me luck!

Currently....

Reading.... Some Girls Are by Courtney Summers. Not very far in at the moment but I am completely hooked. It was highly recommended at last months Show Us Your Books Linkup. Speaking of the linkup, it is taking place tomorrow for our September Reads! (Edit: It's NEXT Tuesday! I'm ahead of myself already....)  Be sure to stop by and add some awesome books to your reading list! 

 

 

Watching....Zoo on Netflix. It was just added at the beginning of the month and I am totally into it. I even put the book it is based on on hold at the library because I just have to know what is going on and why the animals are suddenly turning on humanity. Very Intriguing! 

Needing.....to do a massive amount of chores since I took the weekend to run around and have fun instead. I don't really mind except the dishes....ugh I hate dishes. 


Wanting.....to get my Christmas Lists complete so that I can start shopping and getting ready for the season. Sure it may seem early to some but as a budget shopper I need to be prepared should things go on sale! 

Enjoying.....the fact that this has been the weather for the past couple days. Yay Fall!!

Birthday at the Zoo!!!

Today I am going to do a little recap of Kyra's 1st Birthday at the Kansas City Zoo!! Fair Warning this is PHOTO HEAVY!!!!

Exhausted from all the fun! Time to go home! 

So we ended up spending about nine hours at the zoo on Sunday but it was totally worth it. I didn't get as many pictures as I would like but I got to see Kyra's reaction to all the animals and that was worth way more than seeing the pictures! I will remember how her little face lit up for the rest of forever. Her favorite by far was the Polar Bear who decided to come right up to the glass while she and I were standing there. I think my father in law got the picture but I don't have any images from his camera yet so that will have to wait! Either way it was an awesome moment!

The zoo party was a lot of fun and the kiddos seemed to enjoy the story time and the crafts. Kyra got all kinds of presents and let me tell you she is one spoiled little girl! In a good way of course! She did awesome through the whole day and slept SUPER well that night! All in all it was an awesome day!
