The Last one of November

Good Morning Everyone,

First off I hope you all had a wonderful weekend. Whether you celebrated the holiday or not I still hope it was a weekend to remember.

Here's a few things that happened over our weekend:

My mom brought out some toys from when my brother's and I were kids. These are Zolo's and they are creative and awesome. Kyra loves them.

There were pedicures. Hot Pink of course.

I went crazy and made a million desserts.

I just realized it looks like this little guy is making a frowny face.....

There were only 8 of us at this Thanksgiving. P.S. I had never made Pecan, Pumpkin, or Coconut Cream Pie before. They turned out awesome.

My mom went all out. (as per usual)

My panorama went wonky and I kinda dig it.

And of course there were puppy dog antics- Chloe was the star this weekend.

Yes that is a cat toy on her head. We have no cats. Chloe just thinks she is a cat for some reason.

Again I hope you had a wonderful weekend. And look....tomorrow is the 1st of December!

Some Thanksgiving-ish Confessions

I confess that I am writing this one a day early because I plan on baking the entire day this Wednesday in prep for the holiday.

I confess I don't like gravy. At all. Ick.

I confess that my mom makes the BEST homemade rolls. Seriously I could fill up on just those alone.

My Mother in Law asked my husband what he would like for snacks before her dinner. He said he wanted a "snack ham" aka a whole spiral ham to snack on before turkey. I confess he was only half kidding. (He's in this meal for the meat.)

I confess that my favorite part of Thanksgiving is walking into my mom's house. The smells are amazing. The table is always set up so nicely. My brothers are there joking and being ridiculous. It makes the whole house feel warm and wonderful.

That's all for me today. I hope you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Be sure to join the linkups with you own confessions!

Time

I honestly don't know what to post today.

A tragedy happened in my family and while it happened to a distant cousin it doesn't make it any less tragic. She lost her little boy...he was only three....just a year older than Kyra. My heart aches for her.

I guess what I really want to convey with this post is, during this week when we recognize our blessings and remember to be thankful, is that we always assume we have more time. Time to do the things we want to do. Time to hug the ones we love.

But one day will be the last day.

One time will be the last time.

So if you are going to be seeing family this holiday. Hold them tight.

If you aren't going to see them. Call them.

Tell people you love them. Cherish memories that  you've made and laugh and enjoy one another.

Because time is fleeting, and there is never enough of it.

Except I know that I don't have time to do all I want to. Don't take life or your loved ones for granted

Currently....

Reading....Welcome to Nightvale by Joseph Fink. I love the podcast and I was so excited when the book came out! I finally got it from the library yesterday and I am SO EXCITED to read it!

Watching....Scream Queens. It's ridiculous and stupid....and weirdly hilarious. Jamie Lee Curtis is amazing.

Needing.....to finish getting organized for the holidays. Seriously Thanksgiving is next week!!!

Wanting.....to start a blog series on baking. I seriously love to bake and this time of the year is when I get to indulge and try new things! Would you all be interested in seeing something like that??

Enjoying.....a new game that Kyra is playing. She puts her hand on your face until you "fall asleep" then she kisses your cheek to wake you up. It is hands down the most adorable thing ever. She's the sweetest.

Happy Thursday Everyone!

Confessions 11/18

Good Morning Everyone,

It's Confession Time!

I confess that I do not understand the poo emojie. I just don't get the appeal. I guess when you deal with poo on a daily basis it loses the funny/cute aspect. But honestly I just think....gross it's poo.

I confess that my neighbors are on my shit list. They moved another family in with them and the NOISE. Seriously. Not to mention the amount of cars outside. Just...ugh.

I confess that when a friend of mine posted that she is expecting her first baby I nearly burst into a happy dance. I love babies and I'm so happy for her!

I confess that Friday cannot get hear fast enough because one of my BFF is coming into town and I have missed her face! #gonnadrinkallthewine

I confess that this double ear infection that I have is an absolute suckfest. First off I feel like I have cotton shoved into my ear and cannot hear anything. Second the drainage...ick. Third the ear drops that they prescribed me were like $300. Um...no thanks. Thankfully I know the pharmacy tech and she pointed me in the direction of some drops that have THE EXACT SAME INGREDIENTS...that cost.....$3. Now if the antibiotics will just do their thing I will hopefully be able to hear out of both ears soon.

That's my confessions for the week. Be sure to join the linkups and share some of your own!

Happy Humpday!

Tuesday Tunes: Mixtape of My Life

So I saw Lauren post this post and I knew that I had to do one of my own!

I present to you:

1. I am a Disney Girl at heart and spent pretty much my entire childhood obsessed with all the classic Disney movies. Sleeping Beauty is my Favorite movie and Belle is my favorite princess. Both of these songs pretty much were sang throughout my childhood.

2. As a tween I became obsessed with the Backstreet Boys, N*Sync, and 98 Degrees. All equally. I don't play favorites. Nick Lachey is still a hottie though.

3. In high school I fell madly in love with drama. Little Shop of Horrors started it all. I was a Do Wop Girl. I hadn't even tried out for the play but I got a call from the drama teacher one night saying they needed a high soprano and I was pretty well known for having a large vocal range and thus began something wonderful.

4. Senior Year I was driving my own car and driving my brothers to and from school daily. They were subjected to whatever I happened to fancy at the time. They both recall this one as absolute torture.

But as Dean Says....

5. I also have an intense love for Classic Rock. My husband loves this fact about me. (This song in particular....my maiden name was Black)

6. My First Concert was at 19 years old and I went with my Dad to see ZZ Top.

7. My husband and my first dance was this one and I still love it.

8. This was also our wedding song....but he and I only played it for one another since we didn't want to offend anyone with the language at the wedding.

9. This song is the one that I listened to pretty much on repeat during my pregnancy and after Kyra was first born.

10. Now my days are once again filled with Disney music. But if we are in the car this is the song that Kyra wants to dance around to.

What songs would be on your mix tape? I'd love to know!!!
