Confessions: The Last One of September

Good Morning Everyone,

It's time for Confession!

I confess that I am still attempting to recover from the weekend. I love having friends over, playing games, and being busy, but since I'm also highly introverted these things take a massive toll on me. After four days of people and all of yesterday cleaning up the aftermath, I just kind of want to lie in bed all day and be quiet.

I confess that while that may be what I want to do it isn't what I will actually get to do. One of the hardest parts of being a Mom for me is that I'm always "on". Kyra still needs me to be her mom and take care of her even if all I want to do is switch off for the day. It's just not an option.

I confess that this year at Ren Fest was probably one of my least favorite. It wasn't the festivals fault by any means. I just foolishly underestimated the drama of my two year old. Kyra wasn't bad really, she was just a kid, but I was frustrated and disappointed that I missed out on pretty much everything I wanted to do because she needed me. Sure my husband tried to help but Kyra wasn't having that. She only wanted me. She wanted me to carry her which is something I can't do for an extended period of time anymore because she is a wiggly two year old or she wanted me to pull her in the wagon which I didn't mind doing but she had a little melt down every time I stopped to look at something. I know that someone will be like "Well just get a babysitter!" but that wasn't an option and honestly I wanted her there initially so that we could have fun together.

I confess that I have been dealing with a LOT of mommy guilt lately. I have been feeling the need to take a break and do something just for me but the minute I suggest it...guilt. Guilt at not wanting to spend every minute with Kyra. Guilt at asking someone else to watch her for a little bit. Guilt because I am a Stay At Home Mom. I know that that some people think this is the life I chose so why am I complaining?  If this is what I wanted then why do I need time away?

I confess that I'm frustrated with my vacuum. Lately I've noticed my it isn't working correctly. I'm not sure what is wrong but the suction isn't there. I cleaned it thoroughly and am now just waiting for the canister to air dry and hoping for the best...if that fails I will have to see if I can get it cleaned out with the air compressor.

I confess that even though all that is going on, I am so very happy that tomorrow is the first day of October. I love October. I love fall. I love Halloween. I love chilly weather. I am so ready for sweaters, cozy blankets and cups of cocoa!

That's it for me today. Be sure to join the linkup! Happy Humpday Everyone!

Thursday Words of Wisdom: Uncle Iroh Edition

Good Morning Everyone,

It's time for another Edition of Words of Wisdom!

Now if you aren't familiar with Avatar the Last Airbender cartoon General (Uncle) Iroh is a member of the Fire Nation. Now in show the Fire Nation are the "bad guys" but Iroh is actually a very wise and caring person. He tries to guide his nephew Zuko toward being a better person and embracing who he really is, even though it is at odds with Zuko's father the Fire Lord.

I realize that while the show may not be for everyone, the wisdom that Iroh gives out is not to be missed, so I'm going to share that with you today!

Confessions 9/23

Good Morning Everyone,

The day of Confession has arrived yet again!

Let's get to it:

I confess that I was ridiculously excited to get out of the house and pick this up yesterday. I love these movies. Sure they are cheesy and silly but that is just part of the fun! I will probably be watching this one on repeat for the next few weeks!

I confess that I am also SO EXCITED about this weekend. We are going to RenFest and I AM PUMPED. I can't wait to go and walk around, take pictures, eat yummy food (scotch eggs I'm lookin' at you!) and just enjoy the whimsical fun. Seriously I would go every single weekend if I could!

I confess that while I don't like PSLs I am a lover of pumpkin spice coffee. Specifically the Green Mountain version. Last year my Father in law got me a big box of them and I made them last for months. They taste so perfect without being sickeningly sweet like the PSL.*shots fired*

I confess that I desperately want to paint my nails a deep color for fall but they are so messed up that I just have no hope of making them look good....Some are long and some are short...some are just frayed and peeling. (From washing dishes by hand without gloves because the dishwasher is broken and my gloves got a hole.) I just want some Black Cherry Chutney in my life!

I confess I am still a bit bummed about the garage sale....I mean the clothes were only a dollar and most of them still had tags on them because she just grew so quickly! Apparently everyone is having boys right now though. Still with the amount of work that went into the garage cleaning I was hoping to at least break $100. Oh well, what can you do?

That's it for me this week, short and sweet! Happy Humpday Everyone! Be sure to linkup!

Weekend Recap on a Tuesday

So yeah this post was supposed to go up yesterday but the morning got away from me and then one thing after another happened...and today's post was supposed to be a tag post but my subject (my husband) was busy working so I didn't get the chance to have him answer the Q&A I had set up.

So instead I'll just do yesterday's post today. Do the Q&A next week and move on from here!

Now for the recap:

Saturday: Our big garage sale day! Look how organized and beautiful!!!

That being said...we really didn't get that many people. In total I made about $80 and Mum made about $35. There is still a lot of stuff left in my garage that I am ignoring until sometime later this week.

After the big garage sale I was pretty worn out and thus we spent the evening watching Guardians of the Galaxy and being lazy until bedtime.

Sunday: Bobby felt the need to get out of the house and so we loaded up and headed out.

Spur of the moment we decided to stop by The Red Barn Farm for a little pumpkin viewing (we didn't buy any) and pumpkin stacking and sorting.....

Sunday evening was spent grocery shopping and other necessary things like that.

So there you have it, our little weekend. How is your week going?

Throwback Thursday: Teenage Dream

Good Morning Everyone,

Today I am going to share a very special Throwback Thursday for you all.

Pretty much every teenage girl goes through a phase of being absolutely head over heels in love with some star or another. Usually that girl posts pictures of her beloved all over her walls to moon over.

I was definately one of those girls.

With one exception.

I did have them all over my walls but instead I framed mine into collages.

One such collage was unearthed while my mom was cleaning out her closet in preparation for our garage sale this weekend.

I now share with you....my Teenage Dreams.

As you can see Leonardo DiCaprio was one of my favorites. That is an actual movie stub in there from when I went and saw Titanic. Personally I loved him more as Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, but hey he was a cutie no matter the movie. (Why doesn't he have an Oscar yet?)

David Boreanaz aka Angel on Buffy the Vampire Slayer. Oh man.....I crushed so hard on him. I am a hard core Buffy fan and Angel was one of the big reasons I fell in love with that show.  I actually have a signed photo of him in another collage like this one!

Devin Sawa....wow. What ever happened to him? Loved him in Casper and of course in Wild America (excellent movie btw) which is featured in the bottom right. I liked JTT but I loved Sawa more!  Scott Bairstow was pretty cute too....

Also a unicorn because....well because unicorns are awesome.

So what do you think of my little blast from the past? Did you post pictures on your walls? Who were your teenage dreams?

Confessions 9/16

Good Morning Everyone,

So first off I apologize for not answering comments promptly and not posting. My husband's grandmother passed last Monday and things have been a little hectic. I am sorry to say that while I will be responding to comments as soon as possible, I did mark all the post from last week as read. I wanted to catch up but there was just too many and it was stressing me out.

There now that that is done, it's time for Confession!

I confess that it has been probably about a month since I was at Target. Yesterday my brother said he wanted to get out and about and asked if I wanted to go. Can I just say that I jumped up and down with excitement? Oh Target I missed you! There were SO MANY cute things. I restrained myself and only got a little Halloween cup for Kyra and a game for Bobby. Still it was like Christmas just getting to go and look at all the things!

I confess that while I am really excited about having a garage sale this weekend I always forget the amount of work that has to go into it....today I am working on clearing out the garage so that I can actually find the things I want to sell....there is so much stuff....I just want to lie down and forget the whole thing....

I confess that my brother got me addicted to yet another game. I am now hooked on Dragon City. However I will never be one of those people that sends Facebook game invites. I cannot stand those people...though admittedly I did get Bobby to join up....

I confess that when I saw flare jeans at Express I got really excited. Are flares back? Is everyone done wearing skinny jeans that are basically just uncomfortable leggings? Give me my flares!

I confess that I have toyed with the idea of starting a Vlog channel where I would upload daily vlogs of life and things and stuff....would you all watch something like that? Or is that kind of a stupid thing now that everyone uses Instagram to blog and SnapChat for vlogging? What do you all think?

Happy Humpday Everyone, Be sure to join the linkup! Also tomorrow I have a HILARIOUS Throwback Thursday for you!

Confessions- The One with the broken controller

Good Morning Everyone,

Today is Confession Day!

I confess that when our Playstation 3 remote stopped working it caused a bit of a panic in our house. We stream everything through the PS3 because we don't have cable. It also works as our DVD/Blu Ray Player. So basically without the controller we were left without TV. Now this wouldn't have been a problem normally but all of Kyra's movies are on DVD or Blu Ray. Ever had to explain to a 2 year old that she can't watch her Disney movie because the controller is broken? No? Let me just tell you....they don't get it.

I confess that I tried very hard not to be frustrated and annoyed when Robert came back with the wrong cable to fix the controller. He didn't check the package and got one for the PS4 instead....

I confess that I just laughed hysterically when he came back with the right cable only to find out that it was the controller that was bad and not the cable.

I confess that I called in reinforcements yesterday and begged my parents for a DVD player...didn't have to be Blu ray or anything fancy. Just ANYTHING. They of course came through.

I confess I have never been so relieved to hear Totoro's theme music come on my TV. My little lady was so happy to have her movies back.

I confess that I realize that some will probably pass judgement on the fact I let my two year old watch TV when she wants. But I don't care. She has playtime, coloring/creative time, and reading time. She can watch movies if she wants!

That's the confession for this week! Happy Humpday Everyone!
